AMRA RD6 Lynx Creek Harescramble Delivers Exciting Arizona Dirt Bike Racing Action

AMRA RD6 Lynx Creek Harescramble Race Recap

Arizona Dirt Bike Racing Returns to Prescott for AMRA RD6

Round 6 of the 2026 AMRA Racing Series brought another exciting weekend of Arizona dirt bike racing to Prescott, Arizona, as racers, families, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers gathered for the AMRA Lynx Creek Harescramble on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The day started with near-perfect weather and ideal dirt bike racing conditions across the Arizona desert. Morning temperatures were cool and comfortable before climbing to a high of 82°F later in the afternoon. As the day came to a close, strong desert wind gusts rolled through the race site, creating challenging dusty conditions that tested racers across the course. 💨

A total of 219 racers lined up for RD6, including:

  • 52 Mini Racers

  • 75 C Riders

  • 31 B Riders

  • 35 A Riders

The AMRA Harescramble format once again delivered exciting dead-engine starts, close battles, and nonstop Arizona dirt bike racing action throughout the day.

Reversed Course Creates a Brand-New Racing Experience

One of the biggest highlights of the Lynx Creek Harescramble was the completely reversed course layout from last year’s event. Riders experienced a totally different flow, rhythm, and technical challenge across the desert terrain, making the race feel fresh even for returning competitors.

The race weekend featured four race sessions:

  • Super Mini, 85cc, 65cc, and Girls classes

  • 50cc and youth mini racing

  • All C Riders

  • AA, A, and B Riders

The AA, A, and B riders tackled a demanding 13-mile loop over four laps while the C riders competed on an 11-mile loop. Dust conditions intensified late in the afternoon as winds increased across the course.

Mini Racers Continue to Shine

The AMRA mini program continues to be one of the strongest parts of the series, with 52 young racers competing throughout the morning races. Families packed the pits early as youth riders took on their race courses with determination, skill, and excitement.

The mini races featured:

  • Super Mini (12-16)

  • 85cc (12-14)

  • 85cc (9-11)

  • 65cc (10-11)

  • Girls (11-14)

  • 50cc (4-6 and 7-9)

  • 65cc (7-9)

The future of Arizona dirt bike racing continues to look bright as young riders gain experience and confidence competing in the AMRA series.
